I have been a Kripalu (Meditation in Motion) yoga teacher since 1995. Misdiagnosed Lyme disease and five whiplash injuries sent me on a rich journey of healing, and I've studied and shared structural yoga therapy and the Egoscue method in individual and group settings since 2002.
I'm also a x-c ski instructor, sea kayak guide & instructor, hiker & climber, swimmer & cyclist. I've found that warming up with the joint freeing series improves performance, reduces pain and soreness and limits injury. Activity targeted restoratives rebalance the body more quickly and effectively than a non-targeted asana practice.
Most effective is individual posture assessment and a personal "menu" of targeted exercises based on your alignment, activities and goals.
